Presonus studio one 2 templates

I would love it if the same template could include: - An audio track setup to record through my main input with my desired FX chain for vocals. The idea here being that it doesn't matter if they're audio, instrument, or FX tracks, they're just as easy to drop as a group into a session in progress.

Thanks robertgray3 for directing me here! Voted on this FR! Can't believe it's not there yet. In the middle of Just can't believe Back to Live 10 :. I often start tracks at home on the laptop then bring them into the studio to complete. Presonus, why the "head in sand" on this? Why won't you make this happen? It's a massively time conserving function that's simply an essential template.

So what do you do? I still have to pinch myself over the reality that these aspects are viewed by the company as a "Bling" Request! In the world of current DAW markets, they are primal! How can your live instrument multi-tracking user base be perceived that insignificant, when you have a whole line of mixer products aimed at that market? Reaper can do it Could be part of instruments or effect tab.

Crazy how this function isn't available on S1 yet.. There are work arounds but nothing like a one step action to bring up a Kontakt instrument with inserts, Sends and routing all saved. Come on Presonus, this one should be easy to implement!!!!!

This is probably my number 1 misaing feature. Track templates of all kinds are needed. In Reaper I can insert instruments, effects and routing and save multiple tracks as a single track template.

Not having this is nauseatingly slow and tedious. Nobody wants to build every track from scratch in every project. Can't beeeeelieve this!! Been working with S1 on and off for a few months, tonight I said I'll sit down and finally getting around to setting up my track templates coming from reaper they are an essential part of my work flow Are you serious? Super bummed :. Very new here, been led to believe S1 is great for creative workflow.

First you need to copy the "Native-Instruments" folder into Studio One's "devices" folder. Once thats in place start Studio One and go to External Devices setup then add the Maschine controller. In the list of Manufactures you should see NI click on it then pick Maschine. Now the second part, open the NI Control Editor app. Make sure you have Maschine is selected. On the Left make sure you select the "Templates" tab hit the edit button and click new. Then highlight the new template in the list and click edit again and hit replace.

Then point to the Studio One. The template should now say Studio One. Now make sure Maschine is in Midi control mode by hitting Shift-Control and look on the screen to make sure it says Studio One. At that point hit play to confirm it is controlling the transport. Scott Harrell , Jan 25, Few things to keep in mind. The "step" button is the link button so all you have to do to assign a control is move the knob on maschine then the parameter on the plug -in then hit the "Step" button on the machine controller and now that is assigned.

You'll also notice a little yellow button on top of each plug-in which should say "Maschine Controller". This is what we call the control focus. This focuses the encoders to that plug-in when its window is up. So what happens is which ever plug-in window is visible, Maschine will control that plug-in directly. This allows you to have a different control map for each plug-in. Any other required busses will need the additional redundant sends outlined in my earlier answer.

Toggle navigation. Questions Hot! Track Templates. A track template could have any number of outputs, busing, effects EQ, dynamics, panning, gain, color etc. Currently in S1 unless I'm mistaken , we have to rebuild unique tracks from scratch, every time. The closest feature I've found in S1 is the ability to save an FX chain, which is only a small part of what was available with track templates.

It would be amazing if you guys could build this feature into upcoming releases of Studio One 3! Please log in or register to answer this question.

Open a new song let's call it "Templates" 4. Save Templates Now, every time you want a track template complete with Bus routing, track names and sends, you can access the template by importing song data from 'Templates'.
